The venue will have a 400m loop laid out and a 750m loop will be available in the summer.  A smaller loop is also available as well as the dipping area.

Water quality is an important part of keeping our swimmers safe and water testing is performed regularly at Love Open Water venues.

Deep sites such as our London Royal Docks venues take longer to warm up and cool down so the temperature variations are quite steady and rarely change too significantly week on week. In the winter it can be as cold as 3 degrees and in the height of summer, up to 24 degrees (a typical leisure centre pool can range between 22 and 26 degrees). Lakes such as Willen, Nottingham and The Haven tend to float around 20 degrees in the summer and 5 degrees in the winter.
